Ahimsa, a Sanskrit word meaning non-violence, is a crucial concept in Vedic philosophy. It is not only applicable to human beings but to all living entities. Practising Ahimsa is believed to instill compassion in the heart, which helps individuals shift from a selfish mindset to a selfless one, allowing them to celebrate the success of others and share in their sorrows. This principle is a fundamental aspect of peaceful coexistence with both humanity and nature, making it a significant pillar of religious life.

The concept of ahimsa, or non-violence towards cows, is deeply rooted in Indian culture and tradition. It is one of our core values established by the founder of ISKCON His Divine Grace A.C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. Cows are considered sacred animals in Hinduism and are revered as motherly figures.
At ISKCON London, we would like to embrace this Ahimsa concept. We wish to offer Sri Sri Radha-Londonisvara the best milk products from protected cows. By supporting this program, you will not only be helping to protect cows but also serving their Lordships, who will be the beneficiaries of milk from protected cows.

Please read the following inspiring article by one of our senior members of ISKCON on how this concept can be integrated into our lives by visiting https://www.jswami.info/introducing-ahimsa-balancing. In this article, we will delve deeper and try to understand the significance of ahimsa towards cows.

This mission could only be successful through your engagement and contributions.
Please support us by donating to this cause. https://iskcon.london/ahimsha
